As Baristas competitions go, this was definitely one of the most fun. Baristas from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland took part to take the much coveted Nordic Barista Cup. The skipping ropes in the goodie bags set a trend for shenanigans throughout the 3 day event including an impromptu auction of materials including steaming pitchers, chef’s knives, El Salvadoran coffee, and even the Swedish Barista Teams t-shirts!
The Norwegian team were the overall victors after competing in challenges from cupping, roasting and latte art. (I’m sure they got extra points for their dapper team outfits…)
