Hot chocolate is experiencing a major revival in the speciality drinks industry and should account for around 15% of your winter drinks sales. It's already an established classic, but customers are now choosing more sophisticated flavours and looking for more variety.
Recognising this mini revolution, Zuma decided they wanted to create not just one but a small range of hot chocolates. Zuma Original gives great creaminess and a full, sweet chocolate flavour which appeals to a broad range of customers, while Zuma Dark Chocolate is the drink for the real connoisseur, with a higher cocoa content (32%) and a more intense cocoa flavour, more European in style.
Zuma chocolate is good as cold chocolate too - mix it up with ice on hot days, or you could add syrups to create some interesting flavour variants (see what you can come up with!).
Why use a paddle machine?
Picture the scene: the paddle machine gently warms the chocolate, slowly swirling it round, filling the air with a lovely, comforting (and utterly irresistible) smell of warm chocolate. Customers are drawn in and a queue forms. Divine hot chocolates are created with steamed milk and served to happy customers - and your profits start to roll in.
The paddle machine ensures the chocolate is gently steam-heated so it never burns and is always perfectly ready to serve. Just add steamed milk and serve - or top with a swirl of cream, a drizzle of sauce and a sprinkling of mini-marshmallows for an ultimate treat. You can also serve it neat Spanish-style as a shot of thick hot chocolate (churros are optional!).
